BC ASSESSMENTS

BC ASSESSMENTS will be in your mailbox soon!

In British Columbia, property assessments are estimated annually as of July 1st, with official assessment notices delivered to property owners in January. These assessments reflect the market value of your property as of July 1st of the previous year and are compared to values from the same time frame the year before. The assessed value represents what your property might have sold for during that summer period. If you wish to appeal your assessment, the deadline is January 31, 2025.

It’s important to note that BC Assessments do not represent your property’s current market value. This is because assessment calculations are based on data that is nearly six months old by the time they’re published. Additionally, any recent updates or renovations may not be included in the assessment unless the homeowner reported them.

For an up-to-date and accurate market valuation, it’s best to consult a trusted Real Estate Professional.

The Judy Sehling Personal Real Estate Corporation Team offers complimentary, no-obligation property valuations for homes in Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
